Preparing for Trip

We are packed. David will be picking us up on Wednesday morning to drive us to the airport.
Newspaper and Mail has been canceled. Jack McIntosh our neighbor will look out for the house and take out our trash. Susan Caldwell will be checking the yard and feeding the birds.

We will be flying through JFK airport in New York City on the way to Tel Aviv, Israel on Wednesday, 5/13/09, and will arrive in Tel Aviv on Thursday, 5/20/09, in the afternoon and go to Jerusalem. We will be staying in Jerusalem for 3 days.

  1. Are you flying on ElAl. When we went to Israel it was a trip from hell. The kibbutz kids were on the plane and never slept. Smoked all the way. When we got to Tel Aviv, we had to share a cab to Jerusalem with a rather odorous Rabbi who demanded special treatment. We stayed at the American Colony Hotel in east Jerusalem. Very nice. Keep teh reports coming
    Ciao,

  2. We had lots of young teens on the EL Al plane. They were somewhat noisy, but not too bad.

The train ride was comfortable and very nice way to see the countryside.

    Thanks for the comment.
